I need to explain why I decided to write about my own characters at my own project website. The reason I created the character I call Ranger-X is because I secretly want to redeem myself and be a hero. The reason I chose my user name here is because it is based on the x variable and has nothing to do with the Sega Genesis shoot-em-up game. Actually, the ranger part of the name is because I was and still am a Power Rangers fan. So the name Ranger-X means I would become a hero with limitless potential just like the variable.
The character Duchess is based on a real dog friend I once knew, but I based her new form on the arctic fox. She is a psychic with mental abilities as well as pyrokinesis. She becomes my girlfriend and mentor in the story. She can hypnotize me by wrapping me in her long prehensile tail and projecting colorful rings from her eyes.
The character Shadow was created to show that I am only human and not a perfect person. He was originally meant to be my archenemy and evil doppelganger, but I made him my son by genetic cloning. The reason why I started saving the world is I felt guilty for creating him and needed to fix my mistakes. He and Duchess helped me become a better person.
I did get inspiration by both Steven Universe and the Dragonball series (specifically DBZ) to use fusion in my writings. I came up with a list of creative combinations for my main three characters, plus Shezerae (one of my mutant experiments). For the first three fusions, I remain the dominant fusee and I gain the powers of the other fusees.
Ranger-X plus Shadow equals Twilight Ranger. This fusion seems a little redundant considering it's me plus a copy of me. Twilight Ranger is a mixture of both me and Shadow and wears predominantly dark blue clothing with black and yellow. He gains both light and dark powers and can combine them. His personality is a mix of my bravery and Shadow's childishness and he can be pretty cocky.
Ranger-X plus Duchess equals Ranger Vix. This is a love fusion between Duchess the white anthropomorphic fox and me. I gain her pink and white colors on my clothes and wear her long prehensile tail like a scarf. I can use her tail like a whip to lash and tie up enemies. Since Ranger Vix inherits Duchess's fire magic, I can make her tail red hot and burn things with it. I also gain her telekinesis ability and can fly in this form.
Ranger-X plus Duchess plus Shadow equals Foxy Twilight. This is a complex three-way fusion of the X-Force Rangers. It is mostly Twilight Ranger with some Ranger Vix mixed in. I wear the colors blue, black and white. I can use light, dark and psychic powers in this combination and even Duchess's tail just like in the previous fusion.
Duchess plus Shezerae equals Shezareign. This is a foxtaur (i.e. fox centaur) fusion of two different kinds of foxes: an anthro vixen and a mutant vixen. Shezerae is a mixture of arctic fox DNA, eagle DNA and python DNA. As a result, Shezareign has two long prehensile tails, Sheza's bird wings, forked tongue and back feathers. She can use both fire and water magic, telekinesis and can fly. This fusion is only possible when Duchess and Sheza share a common love for me; Shezareign raises that love to a new level.
Ranger-X plus Shezerae equals Sheza Ranger. This fusion is similar to Ranger Vix, but I wear Sheza's teal and silver colors on my clothes. I inherit her water magic, bird wings and long tail (similar to the Ranger Vix fusion). I can attack enemies with ice and turn Sheza's tail whip into an ice whip.
