What i meant for Eyeball being there to guard someone i didn't mean eyeball would be guarding Pink Diamond i meant like Eyeball could be there to guard someone else (like an important gem) or she could be just moving stuff around (rubies are not important, they are like disposable workers)
and here is a scenario/story how Pink Diamond would be shattered:
Pink Diamond was the newest member of the great Diamond authority, but Yellow and White did not like how she acted and did things, the diamonds hated organic life, but Pink was interested in it so White Diamond would come up with a plan to shatter her. White Diamond would inform Rose Quartz of a peace negotiation that would take place near Pink Diamond's palanquin, Rose suspected something was up and decided to take Garnet and Pearl with her, meanwhile White Diamond arrived to talk about something with Pink Diamond, she called her out from her palanquin (Pink Diamond was the newest member of the Diamond authority, so she did what the oldest member of the authority asked of her, think of it like its your boss asking you to come talk or something like that) and as soon Rose arrived, White Diamond would shatter Pink Diamond (Eyeball could be somewhere near this incident like guarding some sapphire with her squad) then White Diamond used her powers to manipulate everyones memories there so it would seem Rose shattered Pink Diamond. Rose, Garnet and Pearl in shock they would leave and everybody else there would be in panic.
Hope you enjoyed the story :P
I was going to address the Sapphire situation again, but I realized that was irrelevant, with respect to the larger picture.
The circumstances with which witnesses were accounted for is sound, but in a quasi-circular way. I am still not to keen on how this scenario will be revealed in canon. If Yellow and White Diamond are the only ones who know the truth, what motivation or incentive would provoke them to divulge it? After all, they probably feel the ends were justified. Blue Diamond is on the fence, given her reception to the defenses disputes while being allied to her fellow Diamonds. In your scenario though, she doesn't know the truth, so I can't fathom her being of much assistance. While we may know that Rose's trademark sword doesn't shatter gems, Yellow Diamond can still assert that Rose used a different sword, like one from her armory. I mean, what's to stop White Diamond from perpetually altering memories to the point where no one can remember jack squat? No but seriously, the defense Zircon's argument is rendered moot, since we can't know what actually happened unless YD and WD admit it.
How do you imagine we solve the murder mystery? Do you think we ever will?
Also, I want add that BD's attitude toward humans differs from YD's; rather than being repulsed by them, she is essentially indifferent toward them. Her encounter with Greg was an exception, as she was so moved by his empathy that she decided to "save" him from the impending Cluster emergence (while the rest of humanity would be left on Earth to die). Of course, BD brought him to PD's Zoo, which she has been preserving out of respect for her memory. Yellow doesn't like the Zoo, but she hasn't destroyed it because she knows how Blue feels about it. For this reason, I don't think the Zoo was a Diamond's motivation for seeing Pink as "defective" for her fascination with humanity. If White was as repulsed by organic beings as Yellow, I doubt that Zoo'd be around (majority rule).
Rose Quartz's motivation, however, is a different story.
