Since their is a moon goddess statue, perhaps there is a whole pantheon of gem deities. When one really considers the possibility of this, it's not necessarily that far fetched. Most major areas are known as temples, their is a moon goddess statue that the gems thought was important to protect so as to preserve the sea spire, etc. If one accepts this premise, a large variety of phenomena can be explained. For example, the similarity between the crystals at the communication hub and the teleportation hub could be representative of a particular respect for a gem deity. This could be one of communication, and this would explain how so many warp pads are constructed, as they seem to be rather difficult to create, only having been shown being repaired. Another of these is that of shooting star. This elemental was clearly inspiring awe in Pearl, and even Garnet had to be wary of the object. This, in addition to the rather odd name, could imply a deity gem, having been noted as creating a complete explosion that could continuously explode, implying the gem could survive and sustain a near nuclear level blast. The geode could also be a sign for such a circumstance. The artificial storm could have been made, and or contained, by such a gem deity. The crystal gems could not negate the storm or recontain it, but only repair the geode. This implies a power above the crystal gems level. Finally, the hourglass could be a representative item of great power of these gem deities. It is clearly a game changing item, so it could easily be made by such a gem, but not any normal gem. So: what do you all think? What is wrong with this theory, what is right, what else could be explained by this possibility?
