The chest's core is made of a light, brownish-pink wood, with the corners and edges being covered in a golden frame that appears to be attached by bolts or rivets. Its body is rectangular and the lid is rounded off with three dots that represent the screws.
There are golden handles on either side and a key-shaped hole at the front. Around the key-shaped hole is a pentagon, which is similar to the cut of Rose's gem. Aside from the lighter color, it looks very much like a stereotypical treasure chest seen in films, television, and various video games.
The chest's contents are yet to be revealed, that is if it has any. It currently rests inside of Lion's Dimension, on the hill and under the tree next to Rose Quartz's other possessions.
After Lion coughs up a pink key in "Lion 4: Alternate Ending", Steven goes back into the Dimension and makes unlock the chest. However, he finds that the key is too large to fit the keyhole, as it ends up being the key to Rose's Landfill. It is currently unknown if Steven even can open the treasure chest, and if so, how he would.
It appears briefly when Steven enters the Dimension in "Lars' Head".
