Uh, plus it's got a big honkin' sponge thing.
|—Amethyst in "The Message"|
Appearance & Features
It appears to be an ordinary microphone with a light blue handle aside from its one distinguishing feature that is a large, pale pink foam microphone cover. According to Greg, it features "warm tones without too much top-end."
Greg uses the Lubitz Cardioid Condenser 680 to aid him in his effort to decode the mysterious message left by the Wailing Stone. He removes the pillows off the Wailing Stone after introducing the Gems to it and plugs it up. However, the technology is too advanced for the equipment and overloads the van, draining out the battery.
- A "condenser" is one of the earliest types of microphones invented.
- While the Crystal Gems were all initially skeptical of Greg's audio equipment, Amethyst took a liking to the microphone.
- It glows right after Greg grabs it.
