Plot

After Ronaldo was turned into glass by the Glass Ghost, Amethyst rescued Steven with her whip and pulled him up into a tree. Amethyst admits that she found the two because she was in the woods looking for the Glass Ghost herself. The ghost begins to claw at the tree which starts to turn it into glass on contact. In response, Amethyst leaps out of the tree with Steven to enact her plan: telling the ghost she is not afraid of it, and slashing it in half with her whip. However, the Glass Ghost reforms its body instantly and closes in on Steven and Amethyst. The two grab Ronaldo and run away.

On the way home, Steven mentions that he thought Amethyst did not believe in the Glass Ghost, to which Amethyst explains that when she was younger, after getting herself into trouble, Rose Quartz told her the story. Rose tried to laugh it off afterward as a joke, but Amethyst never forgot about it. They soon run into Garnet and Pearl, and explain what happened to Ronaldo. Garnet offers to shatter the glass with her gauntlet, but the others stop her, fearing they would shatter Ronaldo himself. Amethyst suggests melting it off, but Pearl reminds her that the melting temperature of glass would kill Ronaldo. The four are interrupted by a scream coming from the boardwalk, and they go to investigate.

When they arrive, they find Mr. Fryman and Peedee turned to glass as well. They hear another scream, and follow a trail of glass to find Kiki, Jenny, Kofi, and Nanefua turned to glass, too. Steven is confused by their positioning. The rest of the Pizza family looks terrified, but Nanefua is smiling and has her arms outstretched. Pearl wonders why the ghost is attacking humans if it was rumored only to attack gems. After more screams, they find Buck Dewey, Mayor Dewey, Jamie, Lars, and Sadie turned to glass. Everyone other than Sadie looks terrified, but Sadie, too, is smiling with her arms outstretched. Steven wonders why she's posed like that, but Garnet tells him that it doesn't matter.

Steven hears Greg call for help, and runs off to save him, while the Gems run off to investigate more screams. Steven arrives at the car wash to find glass shards on the floor. He eventually finds his dad and learns that Greg was only screaming because he accidentally locked himself in a closet while trying to change a fuse, and the broken glass was from a broken light bulb. However, the Glass Ghost appears in the closet and attempts to strike Greg and Steven, who duck out of the way. Greg begins throwing tools at it, to no avail. Steven yells at the ghost to stay back and pushes it away with a bubble. The ghost slams against the wall and screeches angrily, before exiting through the wall, leaving Steven and Greg to wonder what exactly the ghost is.
