Atticus Ronald Shaffer (born June 19, 1998) is an American actor, best known for portraying Matty Newton in the 2009 film The Unborn and Brick Heck in the ABC sitcom The Middle.
Shaffer has type IV Osteogenesis Imperfecta, a genetic condition inherited from his mother, who has type I. His small stature from this condition helps him portray a character on The Middle, four years younger than his actual age. He is home schooled.
